Alijah Pemović (born March 30, 1990) is a professional tennis player from Australia.
Alijah was born in Novi Sad, Serbia, she moved to Melbourne, Australia when she was 7 years old, she can speak fluent English and Serbian, she also knows how to speak a little Croatian, French and German. Alijah's game is known for her powerful shots, she can strike the ball anytime, but as always she has her weaknesses, her double faults, her average a game is 6. She started playing tennis at the age of 4. When she is not playing tennis she enjoys playing football, AFL and badminton. She also studies at Melbourne University during the holidays, she enjoys studying Geography and History. Alijah's favorite surface is clay.
Pemovic turned pro in 2010, her highest ranking in singles and doubles is 27. In 2011, Pemovic won two FWTT Tour titles, coming in Acapulco and Elkridge. She also has won one doubles title with Aveta Tenesova. She was the runnerup in Bali, and has had 5 runnerups in doubles.
Before Wimbledon 2012, Pemovic announced her retirement from the sport due to a lack of confidence, but after reaching the Wimbledon Semifinals in doubles, she has now changed her mind. She is now focusing on doubles. She then changed her mind again and is now playing singles and doubles, mostly on the ITF circuit where she is fighting for a spot in the Challenger YEC. She previously won ITF Redding.
